Yes, I know it is Saturday, but I need to make up for some of the time I took off getting the car, so I'm working again. I'm back to working on ACPI, having given up on the idea of trying to use the 2.3.99 kernel all the time to help debug it, and instead switching to a mode of rebooting into 2.3.99 just long enough to try testing ACPI features. That won't help test stability much, but I can at least work on features that way. Of course, stability is much more interesting. So far I've found several bugs and started to outline what still needs to be done to make ACPI a replacement for APM in the Linux context. In the process, I've nearly torn my hair out trying to read the atrocious ACPI standard.
